Pictures

Madison will be 6 weeks old tomorrow. I can't believe how fast this time has gone. I have to go back to school on Monday and I am already dreading it. I love staying at home. I had hoped to get so many things accomplished during this time off from work, and I didn't get any of them done. I did, however, spend lots of time cuddling and adoring my little angel and that is all that matters.

Here are some of my favorite pictures from the past couple of weeks:

I love this pose. I wonder what she is so deep in thought about in her dreams.

Jack loves to lay in the bouncy chair...I have to turn it upside down to keep her out of it.

Thank you Jessica for the floor play area...Madison loves to lay on the floor and move around.

Grammy Tammi gave Madison this butterfly pillow, and I thought the butterfly version of Madi was adorable. :)

Madi got to go for her first bike ride this week. She and Daddy got to enjoy the beautiful weather we have had the last couple of days.

OK, just kidding about the bike ride. We went out to meet daddy when he came home from work the other day and we posed the pictures.

Well, I suppose I should take advantage of Madi's nap to get the house picked up. It will be sad next week to leave her all day, but my students at school are needing me too. Brandon's mom and grandmother will be watching Madison. It is nice knowing that she will be with family all day.

One Month Old

Madison is growing quickly as she passes the one month mark. We had a weight check this Thursday and she was 8 pounds and 21 inches long. She is really growing in leaps and bounds. The average weight gain at this age is 1/2 ounce per day, and she is nearly doubling that rate.

She is starting to give us smiles in response to our actions. We haven't caught any on film yet, but it sure is fun to interact with her that way.

Madi got us both in one day last Tuesday. After her morning feeding, she threw up all over me and herself. While changing her clothes she threw up again, covering the changing table. Later that afternoon while Brandon was changing her diaper, she splattered his arm and pants with poop. Oh the joys :).

On Thursday we tried to get some poised baby pictures, here are best of the bunch.

Madison is quite the cuddlebug, she loves to be right there with us. And we sure love every minute of her cuddling. I know I will miss these days when she is too busy to cuddle with us.

Somehow we managed to not get pictures of her first Easter. She turned one month old on Easter Suinday. We had Easter dinner at my Grandma Hitt's house. Brandon's family joined us and we had a wonderful time. Next Easter will be quite the change as we will get to have an Easter egg hunt, decorate eggs, and all of the fun traditions that go along with the holiday.

Well I better head downstairs. Our parents just came over to play shuffleboard on the table Brandon and my dad built this last week.

3 Weeks Old Already!

Madison Marie joined our family 3 weeks ago today. We went in for a weight check-up this morning, and she finally weighs more than her birth weight. She was 7lbs, 8oz this morning. Here is a picture of her passed out with Daddy this afternoon.

I realized I didn't put up any pictures of Madi with her Grammy Tammi and Grampy Bruce last week so here are the happy grandparents with their grandbaby.

When my grandparents were here from Colorado, the extended family got together for a gift exchange for Madi. Here are some pictures of that night:

Here are some random pictures from the last couple of weeks:
She loves to spend time on the floor, she spent 20 minutes or so just kicking her legs, cooing and looking around. It was fun to see her so alert.

I realized when I wrote the last blog that we didn't have any recent pictures of me and Madi, so Brandon took this one.

She is so dainty already, you can definitely tell that she is a girl. Personally, I love this picture.

Here she is showing off her big blue eyes.

Madi already has the pout face figured out. We are headed for trouble I think. :) Every time I would move her, she would scrunch up her face and stick her lower lip out. It was pretty adorable.

We love having Madison in our lives! I hope that everyone knows how much we appriciate the gifts, meals, and visits. Thank you everyone for being a part of Madison's life.
