Well I am officially down to 8 days of school. Then, I should have lots of time to take pictures, write posts and keep everyone updated on our lives. Thanks for being patient with this busy mom.

Easter 2011

We had a great Easter this year. It was Emma Lea's first Easter, and Madison's third (although it was both girls first egg hunt.)

We had a great time spending time with both sides of the family.

The girls had a blast looking for and picking up the eggs scattered around Grammy and Granddad Cone's house. We had to hid the eggs three times before the kids were done.

The girls wore the dresses that Grammy Hitt made for them. I love how the flow and move around their little legs.

I love this picture!!

Happy First Birthday Emma Lea Ruth!

Okay, so I know that I am really far behind in posting again. We moved the computer out of Emma's room this weekend (Finally) and so now I can work on these while the kids are napping which is so much easier than when they are awake. Ha ha.

Emma Lea Ruth turned one on April 6th. She had a very nice party with lots of wonderful friends and family present. She has always been our little "lady bug" so we had a lady bug themed party.

Here are her cakes...I got a little carried away baking so she got two.

Again, we had red-velvet cake since that is Daddy's favorite cake.

I think this is my favorite cake I have decorated yet. I am getting a little better as I go, and learning tricks to make things easier too.

Emma has been walking for a while now. She really got the hang of it about two or three weeks before her birthday. She still falls quite a bit, and that makes her mad when she is wearing a dress since she can't crawl over to the furniture to stand up again. Since her party she has figured out how to stand up in the middle of the room, although now she just stands up on her dress and still gets mad.

She is our little flirt. She has big blue eyes that turn almost purple at times. She loves make eyes at you and then bury her head into my shoulder if I am carrying her. She is super ticklish and has an incredibly high pitched squeal when she laughs.

That last picture fits her so well. She is very sweet and loving. You can tell that she has a bit of her daddy's ornery attitude with that gleam in her eye.

She is giving Madison and Aiden a run for their money in the race to talk. She is quickly catching up to them. Hi is her favorite word. I have also heard: Mama, dada, sis-sis, Madi, okay, rough (as in what does a dog say).

My girls are very interested in cards right now. Emma had lots of fun playing with and reading her cards. She is learning how to take them out of the envelope and that is a great trick for her.

The girls got these matching dresses for Emma's birthday. I love them!

Mommy and Daddy bought Emma a kid sized table and chairs set for her birthday. It is awesome. There are four toddler sized chairs each in a different color and a white table which has now found a place in our living room. The kids love to have snacks on it, or read books, or put puzzles together.

Grammy and Grampa Hitt gave Emma a train set which has been a big hit so far. It is awesome, with all sorts of tracks, cars, figurines, and even tunnels and bridges. The kids really enjoy playing with it. It really needs its own table so that it can be set up permanently, but they are having fun with it as is.

Emma is really starting to change into a toddler. She is always on the run, and is loving being able to keep up with her older sister and cousin. She is very opinionated, and lets you know if she is not happy about something. She is turning into a Daddy's girl, and that is awesome.

I love you Bean!
